My name is Guvenc Donmez and I am a passionate brand builder who loves to learn from others and share what I learned. I enjoyed a fantastic Brand Management career and I hope you are enjoying yours too. My audience is young and passionate people who are looking for good advice to succeed in their roles. However, if you don’t fit this description, there is still plenty of practical advice to succeed in multi-functional, multi-national and multi-cultural matrix organizations. Time to time, I do hope to provide advice for expats, working in Russia, providing them useful insights to succeed.
I am currently working as the CEO of Domino’s Pizza Master Franchise for Russia. I have recently led my company to go pubic in London Stock Exchange, by leading a turnaround driven by launch of e-commerce and sound management practices together with a fantastic team. Previously, I worked as Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Electronics in Russia. Prior to that, I worked more than 13 years in Procter and Gamble where I experienced working in different continents, cultures, categories and roles. I spent 7 years as a Brand Manager in 5 different assignments where I learned a great deal on how to apply great marketing theory to work, develop sound business fundamentals, achieve balance through personal productivity and inspire and motivate others along the way. I have led numerous marketing campaigns, won awards, reached millions with viral ads during my career.
I also have a board seat in the fast growing Cofix chain, a dollar store concept disrupting the Coffee Chain industry in Russia.
In 2012, I also partnered with my sister to invest into a restaurant start-up which turned out to be a local restaurant chain (Big Baker) in my home country, Turkey, eventually reaching 9 restaurants and one of top 12 places to eat delicious handmade hamburgers in Turkey.
I have endless passion to learn and coach others. I decided to take this further, which led to launching starbrandmanager.com.
I am married with a Russian wife and have two kids, living happily in Moscow.
